Drew has been our leader, our coach, and our shepherd since 1998. He is native to Missouri. For funDrewenjoys coaching kids, reading good books, running and basketball. He is a graduate of WilliamJewell Collegeand Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Drew and Suzanne have three kids, onein college and twoin high school. (Pray for them!) Michael comes to us from Dayton, Ohio (his home town) where he served as the Music Minister at East Dayton Baptist Church. Licensed and ordained in 1992, served as Minister of Music in combination with Youth, Education and Senior Adult Pastor positions. Sang with Dayton Boys Choir, College contemporary Christian group, and the Metropolitan Opera. Michael and his wife, Jan have four daughters. It is Michael and Jan's greatest desire to serve the Lord wherever and however He leads.

Rev. John Hanson, Associate Pastor, Youth and Activities
John was called to serve with us in February of 2008, moving to Sedalia from Mount Vernon, Illinois.Originally from Connecticut, John is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University and brings to ourstaff fourteen years of experience in youth and activities ministry. John and his wife, Vanessa, havefour children. We are excited to welcome John to our ministry team.

Miss Cara Harrington, Minister of Missions and Children
Cara moved to Sedalia to teach school, but God had other ideas, calling her to vocational missionsand then to join our staff in 2004. Since then Cara has become a missions globetrotter, leading ourpeople all over the world on mission for Christ. Around here, she handles many of the nuts and boltsbehind the scenes jobs that help make the church go.

Mrs. Cheryl Preuitt, Church Administrator
Cheryl Preuitt is our part-time volunteer Church Administrator and joined our staff in May 2010.She retired in December 2009 after 35.5 years of federal service.She worked nearly 30 years in Human Resources with the Air Force at Whiteman AFB MO and completed her HR career with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in Kansas City, MO.Cheryl and her husband, Warren, have two adult children, Chris and Kim, and two grandchildren, Josephine and Thomas-Andrew.Cheryl is eager to serve in this new position and looks forward to assisting the staff and members.

Ms. Connie Edwards, Administrative Assistant
Connie Edwards is our full-time Administrative Assistant, and has served in this capacity for 20 years. She frequently starts her sentences with…”Back in the old days…” With a B.A. and M.A. in English from Central Missouri State University (now UCM, Warrensburg), she’s frequently found on lunch hours immersed in a book or two. The delights of her life are her two adult children, Erin and Danny, and her cats, Franklin and Truman. Connie is also our token Episcopalian staff member!

Mrs. Twila Simons, Administrative Assistant
Twila Simons is our part-time Administrative Assistant, who joined the staff in October 2008. Her husband is retired Air Force, working as a civilian at Whiteman AFB. She has a son who just graduated Smith-Cotton High School, and an older son in his 6th year of the Marines, stationed in North Carolina. Their family has been in the area for 16 years. Twila is happy to be part of First Baptist Church, and is looking forward to meeting everyone.
